2d sprite drawing problems

Just figured I'd drop this in here for any devs/dev. My computer, which functions off of a radeon 8900 card, with directx 9.0 and 1-22mb RAM.
Some o0f the sprites in the menu system appear at half-width, and are spliced and pixely, which detracts quite a lot whenever I complete a single player campaighn as the text is un-readable. Some examples of the effected sprites include just about all of the weapon oictures in the TAC reference, the menu graphic (blue swirly thing) above the main menu, the campaign graphics (but not the intelligence pictures, not sure why.) Okay, hope that was detailed enough.
