Play PBEM!
Forget the Soviet AI!
Play the Axis and BE IN DOUBT THAT YOU CAN WIN(in the long run)
I really like playing the Soviets.(I like the defence)
To counter problems with the game I will only.
Durring blizzard turns the soviets ONLY attack with one HQ and it's armies(limmit 4) and the army can only attack for 2 turns. Thats one army for two turns or one new army each turn.(Breaks in blizzard are deleted)
Thats all i'm willing to conceed. The Soviets have a hard enough time of it as it is and one of you out there is already causing me to think mighty hard.
The Axis has superior forces. What it needs to win is superior strategy.
I'd like to thank Matrix games for turning this into true simulation of the Russo-german conflict(as opposed to Ver 1) I've played so many board game versions of this that the PC version that you GIVE away is a dream. To be able to modifiy the initial axis setup has always lured me to the game and all you detractors out there who have to have a whine about the game have obviously never played a tabletop game in your lives.
If you want to play the Axis with no idea of what will happen then start a 1941 Campaign/PBEM/Even then zip the
