What are the "phantom" blue units?

Started reacquainting myself with WIR after years of lamenting not having it (thank you Matrix!), yesterday. Today, looking at the map in the strategic view, there are all these bluish infantry-looking counters scattered about--what are they? Most do not show anything when I click on them, but some I recognize as being real units in the game. So, what gives? Is this an unresolved bug, or what?

Must be a bug that doesn't effect most of us, or people don't mention it. I just looked and don't have the problem. Could you send me a zipped file of a game that shows it on your system, which will help tell if it is a hardware/software issue specific to your machine, or a corruption in the game you are playing. Also, do you show hex control on when this happens, and where do you see it?
Thanks for the help.

The blue infantry units are the Finnish units but if you are seeing phantom ones that are empty you could have memory problem. Lack of adequate memory has produced strange graphics. RickyB knows a lot more about fixing that than I do. This version of WIR is a big improvement over the old version you are familar with so fix your graphics problems and enjoy.

Thanks, guys. I haven't seen those units since the turn that prompted my post--so, who knows? I'll let you know whether they reappear, and keep in mind the comment about memory. I don't understand a lot of the computer stuff, but I understand memory in a general way...there are different kinds, as I recall, and it's always vexing to figure out which kind applies, etc.
Here's another one for you--I tried to change headquarters for the first time...and nothing happened. Any experience with that one? Thanks again.

dravazed,
Hit the '/' key and it will give you most of the keyboard commands. Alt 'H' allows the selected unit to change its parent headquarters. So if you want the 2nd Army to report to Center Army Group simple select 2nd Army then hit Alt 'H' and select the Center Army Group.
Good luck,

Change Hq's before you do anything with the unit changing.
