Hermann,
I have tried this several times, not sure what the problem is, but I think it's beyond my experience.
It will indeed load and run in 3.6.3
Tried resaving under different name, resetting time, rebuilding all units, and the results were all the same as your above entry
Invalid Point in GetWeather Function
Invalid Unit Type
I'll pass this one along also.

In fact the scenario was started and then stopped prior to release so that may also have something to do with it. Many scenario guys do this to achieve some of the results they desire at the start of a scenario. It would probably be best if Freek came in and described what he did when creating the scenario. It could provide some insight as to the problem.
I also know that there's a Mk48 in the water, going for the French task force that's centered in the Bay of Biscay. The problem there is that there's a false contact about where the torpedo originated from but it has no mounts. That is another question I need answered from Freek as the only possible way that the weapon could have gotten there is if a submarine was placed there, it fired the torpedo and then it was deleted. But this is why I need these questions answered because Freek made the scenario.
Anyway, if Freek can come in and answer some of these questions we'd probably get a better handle on the bug.
Freek's on vacation for the moment. So, I hope that I can help answer some of these questions. We worked on it pretty closely. Normally, I'd wait for Freek to drop in, but since you fellows are working hard on a patch, it would be GREAT if this fix could be included.
The situation is as you described it: Scenario was run for a bit in ScenEdit and the torpedo was fired. The False Contact was placed there to spoof the player into evading in the wrong direction; directly at the REAL sub.
No, what I don't know where that torpedo came from. I am not certain if Freek fired the torpedo from the sub in the area and then moved the sub to another location.
IIRC, there was a second sub in the scenario that has since been removed and it is the source of the torpedo.
There are plenty of scenario examples where we have started the game in SE, stopped it, and re-set the timers. No problem in any of those files. I hope that this helps.

What it sounds like is that at some point 3.7 has been involved in the construction of this 3.6.3 scenario. Either one of the beta by mistake or even running in 3.7 perhaps. Mixing up the version in this way during construction produces unstable results. I know I lost a weeks work a couple of months ago.

Not a chance that this occurred. The exact same file can be run in ScenEdit / GE 3.6.3. Had this file been opened and re-saved by the 3.7 ANW editor, it would crash upon any attempt to open with 3.6.3 ScenEdit.

OK, Thanks a million for looking into this.
It was a complex scen;
- Yes I fired a torp from Dutch scen, started and stopped the clock, then moved the sub (to Scotland or thereabouts). This mean there was a torp and a 'phantom' detection where the sub used to be.
- I then manually steered torp to AND away from CV-group (it was meant to scare not kill the CV).
- I put in the false contacts later.
I'm puzzled by the crash, especially as it seems to be more than the French side causing it. I made the scen a while ago but I don;t think I did anything special to the French or Neutral side. Could it be caused by having been edited by both 3.6.2 and 3.6.3 scenedit version at different times?
I really appreciate the testing as I would like to get all my scens converted to, and tested in ANW.
