And the verdict is...

Alright, I've finally sprung for the game, put together a nine-team CFL, got everything going, played a few games and... after all the rhetoric, flame wars, and other verbal jousting, what's my 'Yea-Or-Nay' on the game?...

Yea. Big Time.

I have encountered a few problems, that goes without saying. But seeing what the game offers and what the potential is, I'm ecstatic. In fact, despite my previous post on the main forum that I wouldn't have the patience to put together my own playbooks, I can't wait to get off work today and get my hands dirty creating some CFL style playbooks.

I am finding the game a little easy in the Arcade Mode (and this is on the second highest slider setting on the Utility Set) with being able to carve out consistent 8-14 yard ground gains on pitch plays, but from what I have heard on other posts, making my own playbooks to have the CPU counter this should work out fine.

To David Winter: From someone who has waited since way back in the CFL '99 days for Maximum Football to come out, Thank you very much. I find this game to have been well worth the wait.

To the rest of the community: Concerning the problems I alluded to earlier, I'm wondering whether to post them here on the main forum, or on another section? I'm anxious to discuss some of these matters, and to see how to get them resolved.

Thanks, kids, and keep up the great work.

Brockleigh

Sweet. So delays working on ironing out bugs can wait so we can get that demo right? Right??? ;)

Glad you're enjoying it.

Your mention of arcade mode being easy; Yeah, it is. I've spent a small amount of time in R3 trying to add some more challenge to it. Much of what I've done as far as overall defensive improvements helps with that, but somethings I've done are specific to arcade mode only. I think you will find running the ball considerably more difficult in R3.

So with regards to the problems I've encountered, should I post them here, in another part of the forum, or is there an e-mail address to send them to?

I am glad you are enthusiastic about your purchase of the game.

Post problems in the Maximum-Football Support area.

Please check to see if the problems have been reported, as many things have already been reported and have been cleaned up in beta.
