Manual question

The manuals are really terrific. Loads of detail, great indexing and hyperlinks/TOC.

I did notice that it weighs in at 90mb or so. Believe it or not it's pretty slow on my machine. Any chance we could get a more low-res version in the next patch?

Without the hyperlinks, and printed via CutePDF, it creates a 10mb file thats fine visually, but lacks the bookmarks. I figure we can get this thing down to 20 mb or so? It is the 1st manual I've encountered that stresses my pc more than the application it came with[:D]

I'd go with printing a copy. It's handy to write notes on, and flip through as you play.

There are screen versions installed with much higher image compression precisely for this reason. Have you tried them?

Personally, I use the print versions in Acrobat, since I look the sharper graphics.

I guess you probably have. (I am somewhat slow today.) I'll take a look and see if there are any tuning options in Acrobat.

I have just been browsing around in Acrobat. Doesn't seem there are any performance tuning options for how it renders images. Oh, well ... Sorry.

The print version of the manual is almost 90 meg, but the onscreen version is only 12.

For some reason that still stresses my laptop. I've found it helps to click the next page key, rather than scoll through the pages. You can zoom out to see the whole page and then zoom into a section you intend to read.
