Worried About Germanophilia

We've all seen it before, a game comes out with the German OOB lovingly crafted down to the gulasche-kanone, and the foe, be it USSR, USA or GB, tacked on with a few mealy tanks and vaqnilla infantry. I would hate to see this game fall into the same trap.
However, looking at the 'Armies' tab at Koiosworks (
http://www.koiosworks.com/Panzercommand/armies.htm) I notice that the Germans have 75% of the page, while the Russian units are a paltry few at the bottom. I mean come on! Where is the KV-2?? Can we have early war Barbarossa without this beast?
(Incidentally they call out the Tiger as being a Pz IV rather than Pz VI - a typo Im sure, Im surprised no one caught it.)
Please allay my fears that Koios hasnt fallen under the sway of germanophilia! I want Gaurds units! I want T-26, I want BT-5 and BT-7. I really want cavalry but Ive been shot down in numerous threads on numerous sites about cavalry in combat, even though it happened, in THIS BATTLE as a matter of fact!

Yep, most likely a typo with regard to the Tiger listing----
Btw? I cursorily noticed that

We spent equal time on both German and Soviet, in my recollection.
However, looking at the 'Armies' tab at Koiosworks (

The Germans seem to have 12 rows of 2 units on that page vs. the Russians having 9, so it's a bit less than 75%. [;)] Much of the difference there is also accounted for by the fact that the Russians were a bit more "standardized" than the German formations in terms of equipment. As for the KV-2, our unit list was focused on Operation Winter Storm and the general Late 1942 timeframe. When we get to earlier in the war, we'll make room for the KV-2. [8D]
(Incidentally they call out the Tiger as being a Pz IV rather than Pz VI - a typo Im sure, Im surprised no one caught it.)
Hm, it's not that way in the game, I'm guessing no one looked closely enough to notice that typo on the page yet but we'll get it fixed.

Guards infantry are in the battle. T-26s, BT-5s and BT-7s were not, according to our info, involved in Winter Storm and therefore are not in. As for Cavalry, a cavalry corps was in the battle and in fact some of their units are in the first scenario but as dismounted infantry with some light tanks. Note that Camel riders were also apparently in the area! In the end, the time spent to model and implement mounted/dismounted cavalry rules was felt to be better spent on other infantry and vehicles that were more widely involved.
Note also that as things are quite editable, it's easy enough for you to sub in Guards units where you want them or add a few more squads or tanks to the Soviet side if you think we've given them short shrift in any particular scenario. Overall though, I think they are fairly represented.
Regards,
- Erik

--the word "gaurds" was spelled incorrectly. Probably just a typo, I'm surprised no one caught it------

Heh. I have an inabilty to spell the word 'guard' correctly without looking it up. All my life this has plagued me, and I have had to write that word an unusually large amount of times, to writing D&D modules as a kid, to wargames, to my job even, where I have to type Guard-rail all the time, and I STILL can't spell it right, lol.
If however that was a bit of a jab then all I have to say is, I am not making a web-site to advertise my wares so for me, SPELLING DONT COUNT![:D]

Oh, and thanx Erik for the quick reply, I need to do some more research on this operation. My knowledge is a bit rusty at the moment...
