played the 1st scenario kicked the poms and aussies butts got approx3000 men to the final objective but still only marginal victory, can anyone explain what i did wrong, was i supposed to exit i had those 3000 there for quit a while (1 day at least)any help

Units can be ordered to exit map. Probably what you missed.

I did this too once - I used a move order rather than an exit order. They are different order buttons on the left.
