Am I able to target with an AFV's main gun, and also select a seperate target with the MG?

Direct Fire allows you to select only one target. The MG will fire at the same time as the main gun if you are targetting infantry and they are in range.

Is that a game mechanics type thing? I mean is it just for Direct Fire that you can only hit one target, or will separate guns target separate tagets if it is autofire mode?

So you can't engage one target with the hull MG and another with the main gun/coax. I hope they fix this. There does seem to be a 'primary' (red) and 'secondary' (yellow) target selected but the AI seems to do this as far as I can tell.

I thought the yellow was just units that could see you and thus might fire on you? Sometime I have been taking fire from a question mark and it give me the yellow line (if I recall correctly...).

You may be correct. Again, the manual.... [:)]

He is correct. Yellow line signifies enemy fire coming at you.

This is a major wishlist change for me. If this were in, the main gun and MG could fire at two different targets. It would allow for double turreted AFV's to be utilized(the Grant for one).

With a bit of tweaking, it would also allow squads to fire their main MG and small arms at two different targets. Or, an MG could suppress an "area" with double the fp of an infantry squad...and so on. A good addition for deeper infantry modelling.

Do mounted infantry fire? If so, do they fire at a separate target than the unit they are riding in? I'm at work and can't check, but wondered if anyone tried it yet.

Yes, they can do both.
