They seem to not be made during snow/blizzard turns. Draw all forces from these fronts and look. They dont shatter.
Go on and couterattack the Soviet during winter '44-'45 with your elite SS! Sieg heil viktoria! :) Bug?

Not a bug. A design decison that an invasion cannot be launched during bad weather, or at least with the strong possibility of it. Thus, although a snow week probably is not snowing for a week, there is not enough chance of good weather to risk a landing. This is basically historical for the West front, where landings are not allowed in mud (or rainy) weather either. Italy is a different matter. The risk of stripping the fronts, of course, is the possibility of a brief change to good weather.

Thanx! Sounds reasonable to me. But fronts still can shatter during mud turns.

The Italian front will collapse in a mud turn. However, at least at one time not too long ago the West front would not shatter in mud or snow, only clear. I will check it further tonight. It is also possible that Arnaud purposely changed the behavior and I forgot about the change. I think I am forgetting more than remembering anymore. Sorry about that.

Mist is right as usual. In my test, the West front shattered in a mud turn in 1944. However, it did survive in a mud turn late in 1943, so it could be that it doesn't check during mud earlier than 1944. Just not sure of this one.

I've never thought there was any special purpose code for this, actually. The West Front has +1000 bonus for clear weather, so I've always considered a shatter could happen at any time, but much more likely in clear. The Italian Front gets a +500 bonus for clear weather too, so why would Gary put this clear weather bonus in if he had hardwired one or both fronts to shatter only in clear weather?

I am not sure, but when we were discussing revising the front shatter events to make them less predictable, the turn summary didn't show any check for the west during mud turns (at least that is how I remember it, but it has been a while). However, it was also earlier in the war that I was testing at the time.
