Texas "Two-Step" ?

Using 1.18 Beta, multiplayer, all teams under human control.
When expanding following the 1976 AL season, I was allowed to add the Toronto Blue Jays with no problem. I could not, however, add the Seattle Mariners. The computer kept changing their name to Texas, giving me two Texas teams in the AL West. I eventually had to name them the Portland Mariners and change them later. This is probably related to the fact that this assn. previously had a Seattle team in it. On a brighter note, I WAS happy to be able to put the teams into their proper historical divisions.
An item not specific to the Beta, but something I have noticed in the past: When expanding a multiplayer assn., it seems as if the new teams automatically come under computer control, with no Commissioner control over the expansion draft choices. Knowing this would happen, all I could do was to ensure that the players ACTUALLY drafted in real MLB were placed onto the teams' minor league rosters prior to the expansion draft.
A few of the players ended up on the correct team. I was able to use "Edit Player" to get them all where they "belonged". Perhaps I'm missing something, but I didn't see any opportunity to change the new teams to "Human Control" until after the expansion draft. This is just a small nuisance. All's well that ends well, I suppose.
