Glitch--Bug??

Can someone explain this to me? For 3-4 turns, i thought this tank was still in the fight, although it wasnt registering on the mini-map.....

As is, the picture shows a destroyed tank. That fire and smoke emblem in the lower left part of the screen shot (under the tank name, just left of the German victory counter) means it is destroyed.

I made this same mistake at first. As I mentioned elsewhere, would be nice if tanks kept burning for the battle (maybe a toggle so the perfomance wouldn't hit older machines?) since I forget to look down at the little 'flame' icon when I looking around at things. Not to mention, you have to click on each target to see if it is still active or dead.
If it is just abandon due to morale/damage, then no smoke needed. I'm sure abandoned tanks confused real life commanders at times...

This tank does look like it's abandoned. The highlighted fire emblem tells you it's out of the game. If it's still shooting, that is a bug.

Im fully aware of the icons at botttom left. My point IS, the Tank SHOULD be black and blew out. So.... its either abandoned and not registered as is....Or this is a graphic bug

Just to be clear, does that show that the destroyed tank's icon does not have an "X" through it as it should?

Heres a better example of what i was talking about, in this pic you can see that the bug must be that, its not listing the unit as being abandoned.(IN THE LEFT BOTTOM CORNER)

Aha - the destroyed icon is also used for abandoned tanks. So when you see that "fire" lit up, it's either destroyed or abandoned.
However, it should definitely show an "X" through the unit in the OOB display. If it's not, that's a bug and probably an easy one to fix. Could you please post a save file of this situation if possible or e-mail it to me at erikr@matrixgames.com? Thanks, just in case it's actually a rare situation, it will help us track it down quickly.
