What happens when the computer AI battles itself to the death?

This may seem like a ridiculous and theoretical question, but what happens when all 5 world powers are set to be controlled by the computer AI, and then just left alone to fight it out until the bitter end? If neither the Axis or Allies are given any advantages, does one side or the other tend to end up winning into the end? If one or the other does tend to win, does it mean that the Allies AI is stronger than the Axis or vice versa? Since the computer AI pretty much does the same thing if given the same set of variables, does the outcome for a certain scenario always end up being the same?

I would be interested to know if anyone had tried out any of these ideas to see what the results are. Perhaps it would reveal something about the AI's strengths and weaknesses.

In my testing,(with all 5 on AI control) when I was working on improving the AI for Franco's Alliance, I managed to get the German AI to push a lot further into Russia. In rare cases it hit AV, but generally came within a few points of it. In the endgame, the WA's AI was not agressive enough to even make a draw. But Joel told me that was due to an error in the combat analizer which I believe is now fixed. I haven't since the new patch ran this test again to see if the WA's could play well enough to get a draw now. And there are posibilities that my adjustments which are now in the lastest patch may not work as well as I got them to in Franco's Alliance, but for the most part what works in my mod should work ok in the standard game too.

While I understand the question I do not understand why you do not simply set the AI to play itself and find out :)

I probably would have, except that WaW is totally unplayable ( against the AI ) on my computer due to repeated crashes [8|] . I know that a patch to correct this problem is coming out, so maybe I'll try out some AI battles after I get the patch. [:)]

You should be able to turn off combat animations (set time to 0) and avoid the crashes.
