1.18 Fly Out Distances are Wonky

On many flyouts that are described as "Deep", I notice that the distance displayed in the result box is anything but "Deep" on may occasions. For example, just had a fly out to Very Deep right field at Wrigley (368' to right), but the result box said the the ball traveled 232'. Another to Deep Right was 284'

I'll post some more from Wrigley.

- The CF Wall is 400'. Just had a fly out to Deep Center that was 300'
- Another to Deep Center at 346'
- The LF Wall is 370/368' and a hit to Deep Left was only 332', and another was only 284'

My biggest concern is tag-ups. Should we use the description "Deep" or the feet measurement when deciding what to do?

Good post, I was noticing the same thing. Had a fast runner thrown out at home on a deep fly out to left.

I just saw a home run hit to right center field, but the distance was less than the distance to the wall. It could have been an inside the park homer, but considering the speed of the hitter, I doub it.

In a Tiger Stadium clone one game with a 440' straightaway center the 3 balls hit to deep center were 297', 315' and 365'.  The same game one of the deep drives to right, with a 325' fence down the line, was 279'.  The next game, different ballpark with 330' distances down the lines, a deep drive to left was 249' and another to right was 259'.
