Park Factor ???

I am currently running an historical sim beginning 1969,I have advanced to 1991,and I have had some HUGE homerun #'s.(single season record is 79, many other 60 plus seasons)

I am using real players in a MLB Format(24 teams 2/L 4/D) free style draft

AS I have kept each team in their existing Park of 1969, I was wondering how much weight park factor carries.

Or is it simply a result of the players "new surroundings? i.e Dave Kingman playing his home games at Fenway?

I strongly believe that park factors influence a player's stats, especially when you go with a draft league using real players.  The weather also plays a smaller part,  as it randomizes field conditions when the region is cool/mild/hot.

KG ,
I've read some of your posts regarding your 40's/50's sims, highly entertaining stuff.

Has it been your experience that certain "Star" players have a much higher "spike" in their overall Power #'s?
or is the Cream just rising to the top?

In my case it seems to have been Across the board increase even Mattingly is avg 40 HR per, Horner hit 57 3 times!

on the flipside Mark Fidrych Won 20 games 4 times pitching in the Astrodome(which is kinda what i expected)

Maybe it's just me but i don't think of the parks of the 1969 Era as "homer friendly"
