Modern Korea Scenario

With N. Korea going off the deep end I was wondering what TOAW modern Korea scenario is the best. I know one comes with the game Korea 2005 but I have seen several others posted on various scenario depots.

Any thoughts...

A thought: check the stats on each. The more it's played is usually a fairly good indicator as to popularity. Seeing which side won more often a guide to play balance. The Blitz or Rugged Defence probably the best places to check.

Hope this helps.

"Popular" doesn't necessarily mean "good", though. Hitler was pretty popular in his day.

Up again against the deep dark designer divide. As a 'player'- to some designers (and I don't mean GD here at all) that can mean inherently handicapped and incapable of conscious thought- I'd just say judge for yourselves.

Yes, there's a lot of rubbish out there. But I think at least what I suggested gives you 'players' a head start. And hopefully it will encourage some to dip a toe into the dangerous and murky waters of scenario design. Be careful out there.

I look forward to the designer-player tourney, where designers might get to eat what they created. Or players to eat what designers created and can play to a win.

At least here I definitely don't have an agenda. I haven't made any scenarios on this subject, and I don't know anyone who has. You're right that players should make up their own minds. People have different tastes. If you enjoy a scenario, play it.

In playtesting designers generally have to eat what they created repeatedly until they have to have their stomachs pumped. And then they do it again. And again.

Can't stand to play some of my own scenarios. I've already played them to death in testing.
