BUg ReportIve had this happen a few times and im realy nnot sure whats going on. Occasionaly i will have units that i control at first, ie: aircraft launched from an airbase (deffinately under my control), sudenly stop responding to comands. in the message box it will say that i cant control units under my comand. if someones got an answer for this id love to hear it, im quite confused

Any chance you were playing at Full Realism difficulty setting?

yes, i was playing on full realism, i always do. is there something about that setting thats causing this?

As an aside, does that mean i can use other units to piggy back my data link signal?

Ok, just to add some spice to the mix, i have a save of one of my subs after its stopped responding, have no clue as to why.
The mission is kilo patrol, i send my sub closest to the airbase south and after a while it stops, the icon is still there and its still bright, it just wont move?

Im desperate to enjoy this game but its not making it easy, i need help badly

Sounds like your sub has gone below periscope depth.  When it does this, you are no longer able to communicate with it via the communications gear affixed to the periscope mast.  Until she returns to periscope depth of her own volition, she is out of contact and you will not be able to control her.

The Icon simply marks the last place you saw her.
