WIR Soviet strength if there were no Purges (Mod)

Could we have a version where the Soviet's didn't go through the "Purging" of the officer corp.
Lets say:
Marshal Tukachvesky still commands and 50% of the officer corp were not shot.
As we know,
3 out of 5 Marshals were shot.
14-16 Army Commanders.
60-67 corps commanders.
136-199 div commanders.
221-397 brigade commanders.
and others in fields that do not relate to a possible mod.
This would give the Soviets a much stronger initial begining in Barbarossa and make quite an interesting game.
Out of all of us on the forum we must be able to come up with some names to replace commanders such as Pavlov.
This would mean less shattereing and greater operation points, it may even mean joint Corps counter attacks that would slow or stop German advances. It would make the German player work a bit harder.
Mighty Muzrub.
p.s Let me know what you think, If someone else has already put forward these ideas or has already done it let me know of the results of the discussion or the game.
Thanks

Excellent idea but I am not sure how it would work in practise as much of the Soviet weakness in 1941 in wir is due to handicapped readiness not leadership.

There were brief discussions awhile ago, but no real interest. I offered to work on different options such as this and nobody really replied, but that was probably 8-10 months ago and things have really picked up. The 1942 scenario I created, with the Soviets starting the war, has this as one assumption and would be a good starting point, with just the need to roll back the starting point and put back in the original start forces, which is fairly easy. I don't have the time for it anymore, but anybody is welcome to the scenario to use it and I can give advice on integrating it into the 1941 campaign setup so that changes are minimized. JustAGame's editor will make it much easier than I am used to also.
Don't know if it would be balanced though, as it would be very costly to the Axis. Can be done though.

I will send you my file tonight, if I haven't already? I will give some notes on taking the original setup and integrating the updated readiness into it, or maybe doing it with JustAGame's editor will make it much easier. I have some ideas there - just need to look into it.
