The "Speer Factor"

When Albert Speer was given control over the industrial production in Germany he managed to perform a drastic step-up in German war production. Is this, quite important factor, accaounted for in the game? It is widely known that not only the Soviet Union increased its factory output as the war went on, but also the Third Reich started a massive manufacturing program, at least when "The Total War" was proclaimed in 1943. Is this feature modelled in the game engine?

i dont know , but after stalingrad i would guess that the best parts of speers production efforts went up in smoke with the loss of so much material and men.after kursk there was no way the germans could win the production battle.

There is growth based on the normal built-in growth of factories, and there are some new factories that come on board after 1943, but it probably does not represent Speer's efforts adequately. In the next release, there are some new heavy industry locations, based on someone's recommendation, that will increase the growth rate of existing factories, making things closer to history.

What?? Will there be any additional versions of the game, except for the present v.3.0? Tell me more about upcoming versions of the game, if you have such information.
And I do understand that even with Albert Speers almost superhuman efforts to increase German war production, it won't be possible for the Germans to win the "production war" entirely. But that "Speer-boost" of production could come in handy in 1944, when the Third Reich reached its maximum factory output, all thanks to Albert Speer.

Most important changes are altered blizzard effect on Germans which will make them to suffer less and also higher rail conversion factor which will be 3 hexes per week during special barbarossa supply. These two with some of others will make game altetered to Germans more than before. But it is only Ricky who can say how balanced will the game be.

Thanks for the promotion, Mist

. Actually, I have my opinion about how balanced it will be, but that is all it is

. Only lots of gameplay will tell. I just know that I as Germany beat myself as Russia in testing it, without breaking too much of a sweat.

Rundstedt,
In version 3.0, beginning in 1943 the German player starts getting the Speer Effect, they get 6 new A/C factories in 1943 and more in 1944. Also in 1943 5 Panther factories start in May as well as about 6 other AFV factories spread out over late 1943 and early 1944.
If you want the exact details, go into WIRedit (EditWIR? I don't remember which) and look under factories. Just step through them and it will tell you which ones start after 6/22/41.
