Differense between PzGr. Div. and Mot. Div.?

Are there any differenses between a Pz. Gr. Division and a Mot. Division in the game? I read through the "Edit"-file and saw that the first SS-divisions are converted/refitted to Panzergrenadier Divisions in 1942 (as they historically were, I think). Do they have their mobility increased? Or maybe offensive strength? Or is it like the Guards divisions, they train to higher experience?

Two biggest differences are
1) PzG division usualy has several tank batalions attached(1-3)
2) PzG division has 3 stacking points(according to the manual)
FIrst one is not always right and you can find tankless PzG divisions in campaign'44(which still have 3 stacking points which is crazy), at least one motorized division which has 3 tank batalions in 41 and some of elite SS motorized divisions having 2 tank batalions(1 tank and 1 JPz).
Strength of average PzG division is higher than strength of average motorized one because of number of tanks inside. Mobility is the same. They use the same rules for training as every other unit(elite SS train more even without combat).

PanzerGrenadier divisions were an honary title bestowed on the motorized divisions by Hitler in late 1942 - early 1943 - Guderian might have had something to do with it too. Army motorized and Waffen SS motorized divisions were all renamed PZGD divisions.
The "official" TO&E gained 1 Panzer battalion in the army units (up from 0 originally) which was usually changed to a Sturmgeschutz Bn (assault gun bn) because of a chronic shortage of tanks.
Only the Waffen SS divisions and the Panzer Grenadier Division GrossDeutchsland (the most powerful unit in the German Army except for the Panzer Lehr Division) had their full complement of tanks - these divisions were in fact Panzer Divisions (2 tank bns, 1 AG bn & later 1 tiger co by early 1943 and they also had 6 Bns of motorized / armoured infantry instead of 4 in Army Panzer divisions). Some divsions never got their tank or assult gun bn, but they were still all called PanzerGrenadier divisions from 1943 on.
So,,, the game remanes them all and you pay a stacking point penalty.
Keep them paired with panzer divisions and you will be better off: 2 PZ and 1 PZGD divisions make the best combination. Remember that the w\Waffen SS and Gross Deutchsland should be considered Panzer divisions in this regard. And... make sure you put plenty of FLAK groups in the PanzerKorps of the red airforce will toast your units.

Maybe the historic difference was the kind of motorisation. The mot. Divisions all had trucks, the Grenadierdivisions used SPWs and trucks.
