I have two questions on Replenishment TFs:

1) While the manual says that TKs can be allocated to Replenishment TFs, they do not appear as available when it comes to ship selection, even though there are a large number of TKs in port. I've tried this at Pearl Harbour, San Diego and Mare Island, in each case with plenty of idle TKs around but they do not show up in the available list although other types like AO, DD, CL etc do. I tried setting up a Transport TF with TKs and changing the mission to Replenishment after selection, but no go on that either. Is the manual wrong or is this some glitch?

2) Once the ships for a Replenishment TF have been selected - eg AOs, do they automatically load with fuel etc before sailing or do I need to use the Load Fuel command?

There are 2 types of replenishment. Port-to-port delivery that allows TKs and can be automated (check the auto-convoy section of the manual) and port-to-ship delivery that doesn't and cannot be automated.
 
In plain english, use your TKs to supply your bases and have all your AOs with full fuel stores near your axis of attack so they can rendevouz with your ships and replenish them at sea.
