Lousy video on my laptop

Got a loaner laptop from my job. Thought I'd play WIR during my evenings.

The video is lousy. I can see the images, but the words are a jumble, cannot make them out, and it just looks plain sick.

I've redone the video driver and it looks worse. I have a Compaq 7710 -150Mhz with 64MB. Plenty of HDD space and should run kinda slow, but playable. I've lowered the video properties, but it does not help.

Are there min hardware reqirements?

Any suggestions??

Jeff,

There is a Bios problem on Compaq computers. There is an old thread on this forum about it.

It is a bios problem, if I recall correctly, which a Compaq employee on the board helped determine. Good job by him. Anyway, I believe if you go to the Compaq site you can get the bios update.

Good luck.
