Multiple waypoints, how to?

I just purchased and installed HTTR, played both tutorials to completion, but for the life of me I can't set multiple waypoints for a task order.

I tried following the steps in the tutorial (F4 mode, select units, hit "Move", shift click for waypoint, shift click for 2nd waypoint), but every time I do the 2nd shift-click it just moves the (one and only) waypoint to that position.

I searched the .pdf for waypoints, and it talks about adding a waypoint later, so I tried that, also with no luck. I found I can delete the waypoint and move the waypoint for a task, but I can never get more than one.

I know I am missing something totally obvious, but I ran out of ideas (left shift vs right shift, some combo of ctrl/alt, hit shift before selecting move, etc etc).

Utica,

Welcome.

What order type are you trying to add waypoints to? If it's a Bombard or Fire, then you can't. Try giving a Move order by selecting the Move button, then the desired unit, hold down the Shift key and then click once each time for the waypoints. Release the shift key prior to the last waypoint or hit the escape "Esc" key to return to the arrow pointer.

*g* tsk tsk
Hint: select the unit first [;)], then choose your type of task, then hold down Shift to set your waypoints with single mouse-clicks. Release the Shift-key if you want to place the task itself (arrow pointer). You can adjust the waypoints (just drag and drop), but you should keep an eye on the type of route (let's say "quickest"), because it might cause a slightly different result (just check the grey lines, which display how a task will be executed).

Thanks, its working now. I still don't know what I was doing wrong, but now multiple waypoints appear instead of just moving the last one. Maybe I was not clicking Move but one of those orders that does not allow multiple waypoints.
