Fleets of Minors

Hi,

I browsed the forums for two days now and though I thought I read about my problem in a previous thread I couldnt find an answer.
So, sorry if I beat an already dead horse.

Playing France, I was able to coup Batavia. I got the 2 provinces and the armies, yet the Dutch Fleet, which was my main reason for a diplomatic effort, didnt convert to a french fleet. It is positioned in the Mediterranean with a neutral (green/white) flag and isnt moving at all.
Contrary to this, Sweden (AI) formed a protectorate with Denmark and now the former Danish Fleet wears swedish tags.

In a former game when I played Sweden and had a protectorate with Denmark, I didnt get the danish fleet either.

So, is this a bug that really should get fixed or am I doing something wrong and just need a hint?

Thx in advance

<S>

Successful coups should result in a country's military units being disbanded, not controlled. You should be getting the fleet in a protectorate under most circumstances (if the fleet is located in the wrong spot at the moment your protectorate is formed then it's possible your fleet can immediately become captured by some other nation with which you're at war, for instance.)

Thank you for your reply, that helps a lot.

Yet...after several turns (some years) the Dutch fleet is still located in the same spot in the Med wearing neutral tags, neither moving nor fighting. According to your explanation, this fleet is considered to be disbanded. [:D]
