Hi,

I've got this game a while back, and I still don't know everything about it. I've read the manual that comes with it, but still leaves many question un-answered.

One, how do I create new units. New divsions or korps units. I get to the part where I create the icon. The symbol of theu unit apears on the map, but how do I get equipment into it? I could never figure that out.

One more thing, is it possible to change or upgrade equipment in other divisions?

Many thanx in advance!

Hi Rommel!
You are on the right path <img src="wink.gif" border="0">
Next thing you need after creating a corps is transfer some combat units into it.
It can be done either by simple transfer (ALT-t) or by rail transfer (ALT-t-r).
Simple transfer costs only some readiness of transfered unit and operational points of HQ to which this unit belongs. Though it has limited range which depends on SL of source and target.
Rail transfer costs very little readiness and has no range limit but on the other hand, it eats your rail points. TO do rail transfer you need both source and target to be placed on operating rails.

You can upgrade equipment of tank/JPz batalions and airgroups by using (C)hange button in their window. Be carefull because airgroups will have all their planes nonready. Experience also drops after that. I suggest you to leave upgrade for computer untill you will become more familiar with the game.
By the way, if you hit / key full list of commands will be displayed with descriptions.
Good luck!

Hi Rommel 22,

WIR is Corps based game so you only can create corps in the utility menu (add unit). You must transfer or rail-transfer divisions and subunits to newly corps to full it.
You can only change or upgrade tanks in the divisions. Simply click over a division and after over the battalion you want to change.A list of available tanks will appear.

Josan.

The creation of Korps has already been addressed by others...As for divisions and such subunits, I believe they automatically appear in O.K.H at their availability date and start drawing units from the pool to reach full size, can someone confirm this?

This is generaly right, but I know a number of divisions/batalions appearing in other than OKH HQs. Example: Slov Motorized Div appears in AGS during spring of 1942.
Units build up to the replacement level of HQ to which they are attached. Example: if repl.level is 60 then unit stops recieve replacements after it reaches 60% of its full size. I usualy set repl.level to 100 for OKH.
