I have heard about this old school grand wargame and remeber seeing it on store shelves back in 93. Well thanx to Matrix I know have the chance to play this classic game. Being an over the board wargamer this game really has alot of flavor! Unfortunatly while using the tutorial I came across the unit transfer section. I cant figure this out for some reason? The tutorial specificaly says to go to 2nd panzer army HQ and select 24th panzer korps. No prob. Then it states that I must now click the left mouse button to bring up the unit menu andd select transfer from the list of options. No prob here. AFter doing this the information panel says move the cursor to losing unit. Ok so I move the cursor over @nd Panzer Army HQ. No prob. Now it says click "I" to transfer the 101st Flak. HUH? What "I"? The keyboard "I". Hmmm did that and the cursor jumps to a soviet unit hmmmmmm? I look in the unit screen to locate the 101st Flak and find that it is letter "H". Hmmm maybe thats it so once again I click "H" and I get OKH hq this time! hmmmmmmm...Ive been trying to figure this out for a good hour with no luck. So how do i transfer units. Any help is appreciated thanx!

Hi Chris,

I am at work, so I can't look directly at this, but one possible reason for your problem is that the Cap locks are on??? Also, when you are trying to transfer, the unit list you are trying to transfer from should open, showing the letters of the units in that corps or HQ. Thus, when you move over the 2nd HQ, you would enter or click on it to show the units, then do the h or i. If it isn't open, you won't be able to transfer.

Good luck, that was the toughest part of the mechanics for me in many ways, but once you get it you will have it for all time.

Hi Chris

To transfer (or rail-transfer if the corps in in a rail hex) click left button of the mouse over the corps you want to get the reinforcement. Select transfer. Now you must select the corps where is the unit you want to transfer and click over it. The unit will be transferred to the corps.Remember for transfer the unit must have at least 50%readiness. For railtransfer the readiness is not counted.
