Blitzkrieg: War in Europe Coming to Pocket-PC and Palm OS

Matrix Games and PlayTek are proud to announce partnership to bring the war strategy game Blitzkrieg: War in Europe 1939-1945 to the Matrix Games label. Blitzkrieg: War in Europe 1939-1945 is a turn-based strategy game that lets you try your skills as a supreme commander of Allied, Axis or Soviet troops.

Command Soviet, Axis, or Allied troops in 20 different scenarios ranging from the German Invasion of Poland (1939) to the Soviet Winter Offensive and their attack on Berlin (1945). Blitzkrieg: War in Europe 1939-1945 features 45 different units of land, sea, and air and all of the hex based tactics that would go along with it.

“We hope the performance of Blitzkrieg will pave the way for future mobile game developers to publish under the Matrix logo,” said David Heath, Director of Operations of Matrix Games. “We continue to expand our line, taking the best strategy games we can find, having found success with our first Mac/PC combo games earlier this year.”

Blitzkrieg: War in Europe 1939 – 1945 will be available from the Matrix Games website very soon. Stay tuned to www.matrixgames.com for more information.

Will this version differ much from the current Playtek offering?

Yes, it will require twice as much ram to handle the silky yet somewhat cumbersome new GUI. <wink>
