Holy $HIT, I can't believe I'm doing this.

Holy $HIT, I can't believe I'm doing this.

BOO!!!!! Guess what I'm not dead. For all of you old timers, I wanted to pop in and say HI! It's been way too long. Just to update ya'll, I retired from the USAF last last Oct. with lots of meds, I started my terminal leave in July. No rest for the wicked, the next day I started working for Boeing building these babies, Image. Now that we've delivered the first 2 of 4 with the last 2 nearing completion I've moved my efforts to concentrate on Integrated Defense System development. Testing and retrofitting new toys of all sorts to give our war fighters the upper hand with the best equipment money can buy. I tried to come back to the turn based gaming front with SP/UV and most of the others the Matrix Games offers but couldn't stick with it. I spend what little spare time I have playing first person shooters, such as the Battlefiled Series, Call of Duty Series. I think the faster pace is what holds my attention. Well thats about it, just wanted to say HI, I owe most of you that at the very least, your a great bunch of people and we had many great years together. Until next time. Please pass my message and best wishes on to the big guy David H. What happened to Close Combat?? Mikey aka Gmenfan

Wow, let me be the first to welcome you back. We old SP'ers are like herpes, we keep coming back when least expected. Even Les has been posting around the forums.

Every once in a while I see a remark like this, and it makes me chuckle :)

Glad to see you as well Gmenfan.

For the others around here, I've encountered a lot of wargames since I got interested in Steel Panthers (my first real computer wargame eh), none really have the grab though that Steel Panthers has. Some are supposedly better (and some occasionally are in some ways I guess), but Steel Panthers is to me, akin to the first defacto girl friend :)
I LIKE that my life bothers them,
Why should I be the only one bothered by it eh.
