giant can of worms
I for one am of the 50 cal is a better weapon then the 20mm, but alot of the others here will say the 20mm is the better weapon
one hassle is what all is effected by a number in the data base
what areas do you think are wrong ?

.50 and 20mm canon are two different and weaps so .50 can be better than the 20mm in a particular situation, for exemple when all you need is high rof and high velocity plus plenty ammo and the 20mm can be better than the .50 in a different situation.
In other words, every type of weapon are each best for a particular situation and that's why they are made for.
Anyway, i was wondering how to implement the FN 13.2mm better than it is actually done. You know the story.
Cheers,
Jan

part of the hassle is the number scale that was used to start with
I mean when a vickers 303 is a 1, and a 88mm is a 6, there is not much room to make many "differences" between the other rounds

Thanks for the info Ron,
then what about the BigDuke66's proposition to "
Double or triple ratings for better fine tuning???"

I am not sure if Harley posted in reply here or in another fourm, but the hassle is the combat system and how it uses the numbers, overall, I would like to see the weapons set up to use a different scale, but that would mean the whole combat system and other systems all would need to be totally rewritten, and we behind as it is

what HS said * 2...
You've also got to remember that this is like a board game that is played on a map that is 166 feet across and deep with one inch hexes that represent one mile each. Some of the combat/fuel/spotting/bombing resolution is simple 1d6, 1d8 1d6+2 type stuff...
Of course, that's a huge oversimplification, but there is some truth to it...
