Download v1.28 Beta Patch
Info
===
- NOTE: 1.28 is a debug build of PureSim and may run a bit more slowly than a typical release. It contains special code that will give you the option to email me a special file that is critical to diagnosing any remaining game crashes (of which there are currently no reproducible crash bugs that I know of that are not environmental or related to a corrupt install) Please be sure to send me this very important file if you encounter any crash, PureSim will automatcially launch your email program and instruct you to paste the contents of your clipboard into the message. Its simple and I can't overstate how much it helps me diagnose errors.
- Fix: Fixed error 91 while simming games
- Cosmetic: Added current association date to all menu screens

Absolutely. This is my absolute last pass through the 2007 code, so I want to root out any crash bugs you guys can find. I don't have any reproducible crashes left on my list.

How much slower is this going to make it ? My sims run sloooooow as it is. Offseason between 1903 and 1904 took at least 20 minutes last night, and that was after turning of my internet connection, my spyware blocker, and everything else I saw open (msn and yahoo messenger).
Are you going to release this patch without the debugging thing or is this really teh last release for the game ?

OK, so I'll send anything I get. I'm escaping the heat today, so might have a few more.
I take it that by 'last pass through the 2007 code', you mean that you'll stop all tweaks/fixes to 2007, correct? And go full-time on 2008?

About 10-15% slower.
When I release the final it will be compiled and optimized with no debugging code.

Just played out a doubleheader with 1.28, and haven't noticed any significant slowdowns.
However, I'll still seeing "skips" in the ballpark animation on 2-out flyouts. The results are displayed, buth the animation skips forward to the next inning. Odd, but not a killer, since the play is anticlimactic. No drama is missed.

I just simmed the last half of a season with 1.28 and had no crashes. Thanks. Also, I enjoy seeing the date on all the pages now.
