Yugoslav Partisans!

Hello All.
A annoying thing that I have encountered over the weekend while testing multiple Computer v Computer games is Yugoslav Partisans. Is there any point to them in the Game?
I ask this because I noticed in my testing, that the computer would divert 2 HQ's, 6 to 10 Korps, and 20 to 30 Divisions to "Suppress" these partisans.
While realistic, There is the problem in that the game dosn't have sufficent slots to include the many Axis minor, and German forces that where historically suppressing these partisans; Nor does the original OOB include these units. As a result the computer pulls away forces from fighing the Russians, and sends these forces off to waltz around the Yugoslavian countryside. Resulting in less force being avaliable to fight the Russians. As this anti partisan activity dosn't start untill late 1942, I feel that it reduces the challenge for Russian player, to have to fight 20 to 30 less divisions than The Russians did historically. Note that these Yugoslavian partisans won't be a problem for a Human playing the Axis, as such a player will simply ignore the partisans, as they cannot cut supply, or hurt the Axis in any way.

No, not really. Partisan activity is totally unrealistic because the obvious result of ignoring an area is not implemented. In fact, by '45, Tito's partisans had nearly converted to a conventional type army and were pushing German forces north out of Yugoslavia. This is not something that can be "fixed" as its really a design flaw, that would need a profound rewrite of existing code. We'll have to wait and see what Gary does about partisans in WIRIII.

Well, if we want to split hair, Yugoslav partisans start to pose real threat to Germans in '44 only when Russian troops entered eastern Yugoslavia and effectively crushed German troops around Belgrade. Being from Belgrade, I know that partisan role is somewhat overrated after the war, though they did cause some problems to Germans, mainly in cutting supply routs to Greece. Most of the German troops sent to combat partisans (and other guerrillas) were those which suffered heavy casualties on eastern front and needed resting (with Prinz Eugene and Handchar SS div taking some role at one time). So, I think that they should not have been included in game at all, unless designers didn't want to go to real small details, in which case they should pay much more attention to, lets say, African front (than it is in the game).
