In my game as german I have just passed the winter 42-43 without any blizzard turn!!!!!!! with the last version.
In winter 41 I had had 10 blizzard turn in a row - with the old version.
Is it normal, or the latest version is pro-german?
Had anybody have the same happend.

Did you just go through the 42/43 winter without blizzards, or both 41/42 and 42/43? It has always been less likely to have blizzards after the first winter, although rare to make it without any I think. It can happen though and is purely luck I think, as I have been getting some. The first winter has some hard coded. Also, it sure seems like if the Soviets are doing well, there are fewer blizzards to balance it, or if bad they get more, compared to history???, maybe by just counting hexes under control??? Arnaud says it does not do this, but there is code he has never gotten into so hard telling.

Svar said at one time that there is no "balanceing" that he could find but it sure looks like it happens to me, but only when playing against the AI. I will never forget the one time I had blizzards for 16 straight weeks. Again the trouble is that you probably hardly ever play enough real games to establish a sufficiently large database to make statisticaly rigorous statements. But as I said it sure LOOKS like the game does try to balance things.

So by myself having mud turns throughout the winter of 42/43 including the 1st week of jan means a possible power shft ie Soviet+ allied forces have greater strength+ a certain control.
Or is it purely a random event for pbem game?
If it is not random its rather annoying, you lose that opportunity to make major gains after battling against the odds all summer and in the previous years.
