Smolensk supply issue

Its not realistic that moving in on smolensk week 4 creates a supply-level of 0. How can we change this.

Are you saying the Germans historically got there in the 4th week but were not hampered so much by lack of supply? Does this still happen on the game version with the 3 square rail conversion per turn change?

Actually someone else pointed this out some time back. The game's scale of distance and time is not quite correct, especially given the lack of an "overrun" attack that would allow greater penetration early on. We are aware of the problem but see no easy way to solve it, short of redesigning the game.
