Only one weather zone with 300x300 at 2.5 km/hex?

The manual states that any scenario with a north-to-south lenght of 600-1199 km should have two weather zones, but testing this with a 300x300 hex map at 2.5 km/hex (which gives a lenght of 2.5*300=750 km) only gives you one weather zone. Why?

A holdover from the old days, methinks. The scenario design sections of the manual were not revised as much as the rest of it, so there are probably more errors still left in those sections than the rest. Since 750 Km is closer to the low end of that scale than it is to the higher end, I wouldn't sweat it too much.

You can always get two weather zones by adding unplayable hexes to top and bottom of your playing area.

Legun, no matter how many unplayable hexes I add to the top and bottom, no second weather zone is available. No big problem really, but it'd be nice to get it to work.

Surprising. JMS has used the trick in his Agonia y Victoria and got expected effect.

It's a problem with the 2.5 Km scale. I think that the code is disallowing more than one weather zone when using that scale, based on the old Opart 100 map limitations.
