PBEM save game bug, campaign 41

Post by GET TRANSPT »

There is terrible bug when playing the 41 campaign as a Soviet player in a secure PBEM game

a chronology:

1) I receive a game, dated 6/22/41, Soviet turn
2) I march, rail transfer, add units, move one factory, etc.
3) I save the game as I'm not finished moving

BUG:

4 )I reload game(enter password).Effects:

a) ALL units have entrenched ONE LEVEL!
b) Readiness has increased on ALL units( like they did not move!)
c) In fact, units moved/railed before save can move again!( the army symbol is not highlighted)
d) Rail capacity, which was at say, "1827" is 5000 again!!
e)Air units receive reinforcements/recover damaged a/c!( pool levels drop)
f)RVGK receives destroyed turn 1 units!

I experiment by moving another factory,.adding more units, marching etc..
I then save again
I restart, load saved game.Effects:

Entrenchments have increased again! Readiness increased again!
Rail capacity is again 5000!! Air units again recover damage!

Essentially, this bug allows unlimited rail movement if one has to leave the game and save it;
it also allows for unlimited readiness increases, air reinforcements, etc. In short, one cannot save the game without this!

I tried it in a game against the AI. The bug does not occur.

Happy Thanksgiving

This is a known bug. You need to do the entire PBEM turn in a go (which can be trying, I know).
