Replacement levels

We can set the replacement level of a Korps, an Army Group, and a front like OKH.

Do the replacement levels of the higher headquarters influence the level of replacements given to the lower units? Or does each HQ compete for replacements equally, regardless of position in the chain of command.

For a given replacement level in a Korps, does the actual number of replacement squads, guns, etc. depend on the number and size of divisions in the Korps?

AFAIK replacement of higher level HQs does not influence on replacements given to lower level HQs.

Replacements are given to all units at constant rate(which may depend on pool size though) each turn if pool permits and if strength of division/bn is lower than replacement level of parent HQ. IIRC Soviet units receive higher replacement with two times higher rate than Axis. At least at in 1941.

There is a multiplier used for both sides for infantry replacements. The multiplier is used with the population size of all the cities combined to get a replacement rate. The multiplier goes from x2 for Axis in most years to x8 for the Soviets in '41, which then drops to x4 for the next few years. Look at the whedit program from wirhack, it allows you to change these multipliers.

Ed, I've meant number of squads which goes to unit from pool. You mean number of squads which goes from each city to pool. Right?

You're right, the IIRC sentence got me confused.
