New to "this"game. Having been reading manual and getting the basics down. but-


1. How do you get the basic -ship, plane symbols? Can't seem to find the button to change. I want to get away from the Nato like symbols.


2. Sometimes the voice in the game continuously plays after it starts- then it'll finally stop after awhile.

Note: running version 3.71 beta Note: Is question one the unit/group toggle? "9" num off- is so I can't get that to work. Sorry If these are basic questions. But I am not really having any problem with the rest of the game-Yet[:D]

You guys convinced me in your threads to buy Harpoon3 ANW after I read your threads and so far it seems like a great game. Still getting alot of it down.

The symbols can be changed with one of the pull down menus, view I think, but can't remember exactly since I'm new too.  It's easy once you know though.  Never heard of continuous sounds.  Maybe the guy just has a lot to say.  I have difficulty understanding him so usually just look at the message window when I hear him start talking.[:'(]

Open H3 Configuration and go to "Game Preferences"
There you see "Icon Settings"....
You have the choice between Stylized or NTDS.

Thanks guys. I found it. Seen it last night and thought I clicked on it but it looks as if I didn't. [X(]

You can change it in the midst of a game.

1) Go to menu Settings
2) Symbol Set
3) select Stylized
