OK will check that it does help to a certain extent.

I've already posted this but repeat again, try the X2 Battle plan from the dropdown. That will give you twice as many units as your points total and not purchase anything for you.

Before the auto purchase you had as many units as you had points and you had to click every unit on the list even though you knew you were going to buy them all. So the autopurchase eliminated that tedium.

We may be able to add a x3.

You could also use the X2 and not purchase the full amount of points. Generate a 2000 point X2 and only purchase 1000 points. Allow the AI 2000 points and play on easy mode so that the AI can't spend them all.

Didn't notice that yet. Interesting.

There is a LOT in this game that people haven't noticed yet. This is one game where you need to read the documents that came with it.

I've done a x4 for myself already.

Copy the <drive>\Matrix Games\Panzer Command Ostfront\Data\Battles\(1a Default 40-40 x2).xml file into the same folder its in and rename it to (1a Default 40-40 xN).xml where N is the multiplier of points you want to have. Then open the file and search on pointsmulti and change the 2.0 to N. Reload Ostfront and you have it in the battleplan dropdown. You can also change the descriptions where it references the multiplier.

In the mods section would be the best place for it. Let's keep them all in the same place.

Ive played it for few days now and shortly said I really like it even the reaction turns (they make sense). The only thing lacking is time to play it. I could play it 24 hours in a row if I just had the time.

Somebody posted about the Soviet AI infantry and how they kept on coming across the map in the face of all odds, IIRC. I've noted the same thing. It is a bit 'night of the zombies'...

Didn't they do that in real life too?

As soon as you capture objectives, the AI often moves everything that can move towards them. It can indeed result in a massacre, it has happened in all 6 of my random campaign battles thus far.

I'd say it's mostly a result of the AI's unit placement or the fixed unit placement if the AI isn't responsible for it, as many infantry units are in strange locations and the infantry is generally scattered all over the map.

There are clear concentrations around objectives generally, but there are also concentrations elsewhere that make less sense.

Another problem might be that the Rifle units are more or less powerless against Panzers most of the time. If you were playing the infantry division random campaign, I'd expect things to be a lot tougher.

Yes they did. In numerous occaisions they kept coming until they either took their objective or ran out of men.
