Unofficial EDBTR Database Editor Re-release

Eagle Day to Bombing of the Reich is a improved and enhanced edition of Talonsoft's older Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich. This updated version represents the best simulation of the air war over Britain and the strategic bombing campaign over Europe that has ever been made.

I have used it for years and have NEVER had a problem. Be that as it may, if you are uncomfortable with using the link send me an email - waitingsince.70@gmail.com - and I will send it to you.

Oh, very sorry, everything I clicked on just seemed to open a new page of adverts and any reviews say its just a scam, apologies to all. I love using the editor to customise the sim I still love to play on a daily basis.

Can someone help with this error?

"Compile error:

The code in this project must be updated for use on 64-bit
systems. Please review and update Declare statements and then
mark them with the PtrSafe attribute."

I have tried the cmd. command fix mentioned above to no avail.

Running Excel 2010, & Visual Basic is installed.

Also I can't get any of the other versions (1.10 or 1.14) download links from filedropper.com to work. it just send me to a page with a faucet & wants me to join, no download option available

This is the error encountered. My Java is up to date, not sure what this would do anyway?

I have fixed the 64-bit errors by adding PtrSafe commands to the basic code. Would anyone be willing to host the updated file for everyone's benefit?

gallycadet <S> Sir

I am very interested in this as I have the old unofficial editor V 1.10, 1.13 and 1.15 but they are all for 32bit system and I am now running a 64bit system so it will no longer run. I would very much like to have this for a 64bit system.

Please link to Forums here or you can PM me via the forums. I can also give you my personal email if you would prefer that.

Kind Regards,

That's what I'm thinking as well, has anyone tried setting their version of excel to Windows 7 compatibility mode?

I can run the editor fine on my 64 bit machine it may be because I'm running the spreadsheet from an older Office 2016 version.

I just tried and it doesn't work in any compatibility mode. And yes it would still work with Office 2016. The issue begins with the latest version of Office 365. I think it is discussed in more detail here but honestly this link I am posting is a little bit beyond my understanding

https://stackoverflow.com/questions/640 ... fice-365-6

From what I understand the issue isn't that the machine is 64 bit is that some of the coding in the Office 2016 and earlier doesn't port over to Office 365 without some sort of adjustment.

has anyone got one of the two 1.15 versions running on 32 or 64Bit Openoffice or Libre Office?
Note you may need to permit Makros for those files to work

Hey guys. Just a heads up that you can download a 32 bit version of Office 365, which will allow the editor to work without the constant compatibility issues. This might be common knowledge but I just figured this out so thought I would throw it out there just in case. haha.

On a side note, why is the P47D-15's speed 400kts vs the 433/430/430 for the other 3 versions of the D model P47s? I can't find any reference that would indicate a loss of performance vs the other D variants (obviously there are a lot more variants in real life). If anything I would think the -15 would be close to about 440 and then the -20 and -25 even faster as they had the upgraded paddle props and a little bit of increased performance as the R-2800 both gained some performance themselves over the course of the war in addition to the higher octane fuels that were run in the last year of the war.

I was kind of bummed that when I finally got the editor working I couldn't bump up the -15 speed number in my existing game. I hadn't decided if I wanted to actually use it or not but I was going to test it out a few turns to see if it threw things out of balance. Seems like a moot point though as I am already into late December and I know we can't edit saved files. I guess I'll ride it out until the -20's appear in a few months.

Yesterday I was finally able to find a legal download of 32 bit MS Office 2016 with a 30-day free trial key (those were pretty common 2-3 years ago, but lately most of the downloads has been removed on Microsoft's request). I'm using OpenOffice and LibreOffice since Microsoft has removed normal menus from their office, but it's not like I'm totally lost, when I have to use it. Well, for quite a while I was with this editor.

I was rapidly going bonkers, because I didn't realize, that not only macros update and correlate the sheets, when you are switching between them, but also I've missed the point, that even though replacement pools for axis are shown in Aircraft sheet, they need to be edited in the Scenario sheet.

After this weird experience (only some values were being overwritten in a quite random fashion) I've decided to copy the content to be edited into another spreadsheet, and copying it back after the edition to always check shown at the bottom sum for the chosen range to make sure, that all the values are preserved after switching pages.

You can google the download searching for "Microsoft Office 2016 Professional 20272 Download", but unfortunately the page is in Polish, it's quite hard to find the pulldown menu to switch from 64 to 32 bit ("Inne wersje: Wybierz" above the "Pobierz" (download) button at the bottom), first you need to go through Axel Springler downloader (wants to install Opera among others), then still you get the office in Polish and you need to update it to English. But it's doable and it does work with 30-day trial code listed somewhere on that page. However, if you don't mind using your Microsoft login, it's much simpler to get 30-day trial of 32 bit Office 365.

Would someone be able to send me the editor please. I would like to have a bash at it over here in the not so sunny UK. I have always enjoyed the game and bought it many years ago but lost it. I just bought it again and would like to be able to start some editing please. I have tried the links without any joy. Many thanks
