That could be another option just as it is done in Order of Battle WW2.ORIGINAL: solipsismMatrix
Two things:
- automated moves (set and endpoint, tell the ai to to fast (forced) or normal, and it will move the units each turn until complete or enemy sighted).
The would be really helpful in naval, in poland-->france, and moving new units, which "spawn" in Germany, to the frontlines. And of course Russia-->france in the late game. Huge playability improvement.

When you fire up the game I would add another button as to start the Editor.

I mean no offence, but am i the only one who thinks the launcher looks to come straight from the 90's.
We've gotten such a nice look and feel in SC3 on the mainscreen and menu's. It really doesn't fit with the launcher.
I really hope this is just a placeholder.
Compare this to the OoB launcher on Steam. [;)]

RE: Suggestions thread
Pleasee add a symbol to the units that tells the player if they have a HQ or not. Since HQ's are so important I think it is really necessary. A simple "X" in the top corner of the counters would be enough. I know I can check it by clicking the HQ but it's hard to remember the units after you unselect it and it's a pain in the ass to always have to select the HQ to see [:D]
Would perhaps also be nice to have different colored outlines on the counters. So for example all forces under HQ X would have a thin blue outline around the counter, while units under HQ Y would have a thin purple outline, kinda like WITE.

RE: Suggestions thread
Just make the attached HQ light up. That way no new gfx has to be made.

RE: Suggestions thread
That's what I'm saying, I know I can do that but it would be great to have a small symbol always showing units that have HQ's. It's a pain to always have to click HQ's to see, and once you deselect it you can't see it anymore..ORIGINAL: n0kn0k

I meant when you select the unit. Then the hq should light up. If no hq lights up, it's not attached.
RE: Suggestions thread
I haven't even gotten into attaching yet, I leave the HQ's on 'auto'. How far behind the curve am I ?

Agreed, that is a rather ugly one.
But I have to admit that I don't like a separate launcher in the first place. They add nothing for me, but pain because of the unnecessary complicated way to start the game.
So I'm thankful for every company who has left this enforced pre-start menu once you've decided to start the game.

I meant as an improvement. Not as a current feature. [:D]
RE: Suggestions thread
Ah now I see what you mean, yeah that's also a good idea but if there was just a small dot in the right corner (like experience dots but other color or something) then you would see it instantly without having to click anything. Would make it easier to plan the attacks.ORIGINAL: n0kn0k

RE: Suggestions thread
There is a historical pop information when Hess has "landed" in the UK.
Suggestion: offer a DE the very next Allied turn, asking if you want to take up his offer.
Yes could be followed by NM (how dare you to talk with this Nazi, have you forgotten everything about Munich '38?) loss for the UK, and unit readiness losses & National Morale losses for the Germans (unrest within the General staff / officer ?) corps - Hess a Hero, or a Traitor).
Just an idea when I saw the pop up.
Answering yes could of course end the game, resulting in an Axis win of the game.
Not sure what to do here, all I see is an option for a very spicy Decision Event.

RE: Suggestions thread
I think it would have to be an option to end the game... it could be done as we have some other Decisions during the game offering this opportunity, but they fire when one side has taken a bit of a beating, rather than when things are fairly evenly balanced. So I'm not sure how much such a Decision would be used.

I guess it wouldn't be used at all.
From this point of view it would be a complete waste of time.
To add it would more or less be a confirmation for the player - YOU are in charge.
Of course the player already knows this fact. But to give him the option nevertheless, maybe it might create a smile on his face, once he would face this DE.
I know that at least I would smile, and play on instead of giving in.

RE: Suggestions thread
Maybe of possible interest - the French kept 40 divisions behind the Maginot Line in order to stop any German incursion there. The French government was afraid of the impact that the loss of part of the Maginot Line might have on morale. SO maybe, if possible, a morale event to the French if the Germans occupy any of the Maginot hexes ?

RE: Suggestions thread
Already in there, the French morale won't like losing the Maginot Line, or having German units advancing behind it. [:)]

If you could switch sides. I used to do this with OPART, it gave you the chance to see if you could recover the other side from the damage you inflicted as the opposite player.

I would still like to see some decisions up front that set the course of the game or make "master decisions." Things such as no partisans (instead of clicking 3 pages) or having a Sealion/Britain first course to the game so that DEs are set up front.

I looked thru the National Morale events before I posted, so I somehow missed it, sorry !ORIGINAL: Bill Runacre
