What's the use of JGSME for additional scenarios ? They aren't supposed to overwrite anything ?
I'm puzzled ...

This comes with not just a scenario, but also a new map and a map template. JSGME does make installing all of that into its relevant folders quite easy.

Yes, I d/l this to play and since I don't have the JGSME thing, it did take a while to put the stuff in the correct folders.....
 
So I made a note to d/l the JGSME thing in hopes that it will make things easier for me next time.
 
In playing this, I was struck by the elegant map and situation.  Since I march to my own drummer, I played the Soviet side to see how it would do balance-wise and obtained a decisive victory in easy mode.  Not sure how to interpret that outcome but there it is!
 
I enjoyed this battle quite a bit and will try the German side of things soon.

Hey Redleg - thanks for feedback -

The map was mostly one of the maps that came, I modified it some, just to change the flavor a bit and match up with what I thought the actual situation was, but quality of the map was someone elses good work.

To be honest, I never played the Russian side, when I incorporate some of Eriks suggestions, it should make it a little harder for the Russians to win. The first test I did by the way, I played the Germans - the the Russian AI also got a Legendary Victory - So made a few changes. Looks like I didn't make enough though.

One thing I find interesting - is that I'm having fun playing this scenario - even though I made it. Usually I enjoy making scenarios - but enjoy playing scenario someone else made - but I'm having fun both making and playing - So I like this PC:K game.

I have revised "Capture of Balta" to v11. I've made the following changes based on feedback:

Changes for Balta -

1. Experience level of two Russian Platoons will be reduced to green - DONE


2. The Fallshmirger Platoons will be changed into elite Pioneer platoons. - DONE

3. Total length will be increased to 30 turns but bonus pts increased. - DONE

4. Arrival time for Russian reinforcements pushed back to 10. - DONE

5 Arrival turns delayed slightly but probability increased for German reinforcements. DONE

6. Scenario briefing will suggest playing as German against Russian AI - I'm not sure the AI can handle this assault with the forces available. DONE

7. Unit names will be "standardized" using DONE

[platoon#]/[company]/[regiment] /[squad#] No division or higher.

The first message in this thread now contains the v11 download.

Attached to his message is the JSGME version of the zip file.
