Ou - e - o - ah - ah. Ding dang (you know).

The above operations report is from the first couple of days of the war. Most of the initially-positioned subs are still out. In a few weeks, once they are back and refueled, the operations report really blossoms.

And, one last one (for now). This one might be popular - Task Force naming.

[:)] Great [:)] - you got the AI to lay mines and make better use of subs!!!

1. Does the AI also lay offensive mine fields?

2. Is there still a limit on the number/size of mine fields? If so, is there a check to make sure the AI doesn't steal them all? [:D]

3. I'm not seeing airfields, is this fog of war?

4. Why is the allied player seeing all those Japanese ground units?

Total number of mine fields has been increased and split between the two players. Each side gets half, can't steal any more from the other side

Sorry, I only answer naval questions. Good questions, though.

(edit) Actually, with a potty break and a couple of minutes to think of it... This is an AI-vs-AI game so the display rules are different. I'll change it to human vs human and check again.

Fog of War, other than the Japanese ships south of Shikaku, I'm suprised the allied player can see so much (like the ships/TFs at Osaka

Yup, it was AI-vs-AI. Here's the same game, converted to human vs human, and moved a little to the left. Undetected units are not shown, a few TFs and land units that have been spotted do appear (this is from the allied perspective).

The new screens are excellent. I do like what you have done to submarine warfare. Very nice improvements indeed!

I really like the new fog of war!!!![:D]  This is going to make for a very exciting game with lots of suprises!

Will mine fields have more of an effect on subs?

Theres a white dot on the map in China, find Foochow then go north to the allied first unit, the dot is just to the northeast on the road.

That map is stunning.  Waiting is difficult.  I am going to be off work till at least November, so I have a lot of time to play now, making waiting even more difficult.  I am hoping for an Origins release.

Again, this is VERY encouraging. I was just a tad concerned that all these wonderful new options would leave the AI more befuddled than ever. But I should have known better than to doubt you guys!
