Played a nice little tactical game with rosary.
He had a GunslingerB (3AC4s,2AC20s,LM) and I had a Vicious Biter(GC,AC20,AC7,3MGs). Since I had the slight edge in long range firepower I had to keep finding ways to stay at arms length. Fortunatly the terrrain ghods smiled upon me and was given a big clump of mediums hills to play with. The game ended with the loss of his LL which combined with his missing LA was enough to disable him.

Dueled PC with recons (was supposed to be in hell) and managed to pull a win out by starting two forest fires with 4 SL shots . Set his 1st woods on fire, closed, and when he managed to reach another wooded hex got that one to ignite also, otherwise his 2 MLs would have torn me to pieces in short order. Am not playing again tonight as it's gonna take a while for my luck to recharge

Naragon, my post about liquifying PC was just a response to his post not a separate battle.

Finally, Yeah, Huzzah, Happy, Happy, Happy got to drive a Mugger vs Mikey . He had a GunslingerB.
Michael fought a great game, used terrain, crouching everything he could but I kinda out firepowered him. Took out his LO and, since he had the nerve to keep shooting at me, walked around onto a nearby hill and took his head

Hetzer's House of Warm and Gracious Company is once again open for business this weekend.

Least I did manange to get in a few hits with that POS. You really ought to delete it from your DB, Hetz.
We sometimes catch a window
A glimpse of what's beyond
Was it just imagination
Stringing us along?
More things than are dreamed about
Unseen and unexplained
We suspend our disbelief
And we are entertained

THAT was my bautism of fire. And there was PrinceCorrin laughing on me, but also teaching me somethig.
I was on a medium medusa, kind of a suppot? titan, and i was trying to handle with jumps (those who have played v1.2.1.. know that you can jump from 0 to any kind of mountain...), so could see me jumping up and down, trying to get up to a high mountain, but i couldn´t reach it.
In one of those attempts, HE appeared, riding a Phoenix loaded with Napalm...
I decided to go to a lower mountain, and then I shoot him while he was flying, I hit him but nothing happened.
Then, he started his Napalm rounds, and that´s all i can remember. My jock finished alive, and I think I can save my Medusa´s Head and LowT.
I had real fun!!!

Played what started out as a 4 way last night that, because of drops and general wierdness, turned into 2 seperate duels
The game started out as a 2 on 2, PC and I vs Rosary and Lyhrrus. I wound up facing Rosary and PC went after Lyhrrus. The game started getting strange when PC in an Enforcer (3AC12,3SRM4) decided to DFA Lyhrrus in a GrimReaperB (2HM,BRG,NB,?). Lyhrrus knocked PC out of the sky with a BRG shot and started pounding on him so I figured that my only hope was to close with Rosary's SodomB (3GC,LL,NM,2SR4,ML) and take him out before Lyhrrus could finish PC off. PC wound up ejecting due to excessive NBing before I could do too much damage to Rosary so I wound up running for the hills. At this point PC dropped the game froze and we autostarted but no matter what we tried we couldn't get Lyhrrus to activate.
Rosary and I decided to continue the game with Lyhrrus's GrimReaperB on AI. The AI as usual played most of the rest of the game chasing me and missing alot with HMs. I was finally able to grind Rosary away under a steady rain of NMs (2x14s,1x7s) and LL fire. By the time the AI was actually able to close Rosary was missing both RT and LT. I had turned my attention to the AI scoring a couple of NB14 hits and knocked out its RT with a LL when Rosary missed me with his NB. My 3rd last NM14 must have hurt Rosary because he dropped after it hit. I was banged up but with the exception of a yellow LL I was still green so I felt like I had a chance to finish that off but was too tired to restart the game again.
I have no idea what the precedent is for this. What it felt like was two seperate duels so that's kind of how we're posting it. PC ejected so Lyhrrus definately won that one. Rosary if you have an objection please let me know, as it's not worth fighting about one way or the other.

What Hetzer said. I think if it I wasn't turned onto AI Hetzer wouldn't have been looking so good. I heard the AI was being really stupid. Oh well. Danced piano keys all over PC.

Lost one to Hetzer. I got a bad design of mine, mostly a gambling design, Dark Forge (4HMGs, 2AC12s, 2 flamers) while he got my refit Gunslinger which is probably comparable to most good homemades. I was able to blow up some AC20 ammo of his, causing 40 points of damage to him, and did some jump sniping. Then I made the fatal mistake of trying to charge his fortified position. AC20s ripped pieces off of me like a starved mutant rat does to cheese. My heat reg soon went along with my LT. I failed my charge into his hex, he shot my arm causing ammo to explode and putting my heat at 151. Game over.

Won one against Michael. My place again, he got my refit Fortress while I got my Masseuse (2 LRM12s, 2 AC4s, 2 AC20s). I slapped him silly with my missiles while he set my hex on fire, blew out my shield half a dozen times, and got him exceedingly frustrated when he couldn't tattoo me at all. Finally his poor titan gave out 2 hexes away from me after turning my LT yellow.

Beat Lyhruss on Sat morning at his house

He had one of his, a Dark Forge (which has since been deleted) I had a GunslingerX (which i like much much more than my GunslingerB). His 1st HM shot caused a 40 pt ammo explosion in my right arm this was followed by a period of sniping where he could shoot at me and dissapear before I could shoot back. I started climbing a mountain to put a stop to that nonsense and he decided to charge towards me. Was bad idea

Gah! Well, looks like Michael's luck with me is my luck with Hetzer. At least my database is getting a good cleaning out.

Helped continue the "initiation" of Ducados today. Two battles, assaults in classic.

First one, he drew a refit Pillager and I drew a refit Lich. Kind of flat terrain on my side, so I ran and jumped like mad for a big mountain range in the middle. On the way over, saw Ducados, put up a smokescreen a second too late and ate some GCs and a PG. Got to the mountain range edge without a hitch, was 0 seconds from running into some nice dense woods when Ducados who had appeared moments before on a big hill shot my leg a couple times causing me to peform a face plant. I got up, tried another smokescreen to no avail, and shot a couple rounds into him. Took a beating trying to get into my woods from his LLs and PG, but he missed a few GC shots, intent on calling for my head. Got into the woods, which were promptly set on fire by a miss and sat/stood there trading shots with Ducados. Finally got his LL nice and red, and apparently also his hip actuator as he spent most of the rest of the time twitching around on the ground. Eventually blew out his head to end his misery. (Aren't I a nice guy?)

Second battle I drew a refit Ares while he drew a refit Gunslinger. Terrain was to my advantage, which won the game as he had more than half the map to cross on open plains while I crouched in a nice forest on a small hill. He finally made it to some woods a few hexes away from me after having his RL and LoT turned red. I lit the next hex he was running into on fire, heard him break move and fall, ran into my next forested hex on the ground, saw him running down and away from me, blew out his LoT and set his hex on fire. He soon ejected after that.

those were two fast battles due to my bad luck, in first one i got my hip damaged pretty soon, so i had to fix it ´cause every every move was takin´ 13% skill check...
second one could have been more equal, but i had a too big terrain disadvantage.
It´s good playing Lyhrrus, he´s fast answering...

Dueled Ducados for the 1st time on Sunday morning.
He's going to be an excellent player, he's got a great feel for position and just has to ratchet his game up a notch or two.

My Blue Dragon MB beat his Grim ReaperB in polar mostly because I knocked him unconcious with a NB

i´d never played in polar, and i realised it is hard to lit forests there. I moved too unconciously up to the mountain, so i was a perfect target...
I always start very well and finish losing(0 to 4), will this end anytime?

Played the all-time greatest, most intense, scariest, thoughtful, thought provoking and absoFreakinglutely wonderful game of ToS or mechwarrior that I have and possibly will ever be priveleged to play

Lyhruss in a WarlordB and myself in a Behemoth played for 3128 seconds. I had to change shooting positions 11 times. Was just a amazing game. It lasted close to 2 and 1/2 hours. If I never play that well again I won't care. Just to be in a game like that once......Damn. Rosary, if you remember our first game in the savanah, the one that lasted over 1000 seconds......didn't even come close.

Lyhrrus, there's a reason that your winning percentage is so much higher than mine. Please don't be sad about the outcome. I have been wargaming for 32 years and this game ranks in my top five only if I count chess because otherwise I'm not sure that I've have ever played a better game against anyone.

Haha, I'm not sad Hetzer. It was a great game, I'm honored to have such a challenging opponent as you. Keeps me thinking (although you did say during the course of the game that's bad for me). The feeling is more like there's a big buildup, and then all of a sudden it goes out with a "pfffft". Of course I learned another lesson in that game, so I'm sure we'll have the chance to tango an entire day and night away again.
