That looks a bit odd. I have been running 1.205u since it came out and I have not seen this change in reinforcements. Have I missed a patch? Good to see another current AAR, btw.

Well, there's 1.205u that Tankerace had on his ftp site and 1.205u that Matrix just released... I used the latter one. It took out ground reinforcements - and left some of the 1.205 bugs still in, e.g. Hermes' air squadrons set to plane type 0.

Do you still have the original 1.205u setup file?

I'll send a PM.

Hi all,

So how did this discrepancy turn out?? Is there a difference between the 2 versions of 1.205u?? or is the pushback of reinforcements deliberate??
Thanks!

Rob.

So we're at war with the Russkies eh?? I suppose we really ought to invade or something. (Lonnnng pause while studying the map)

It just seems to be a very unfortunate glitch. Almost as if a 1926 file set was placed in the 1922 scenario, that's all. It's not a huge problem, as scenario 1 is still ok - it is missing Hermes' plane fix, but that's minor, too. Eventually, I was thinking of redoing 1.205u files, fixing arrival dates... but with WitP:AE coming up eventually, I might just wait around for it, and maybe try to import WPO data into the new WitP:AE engine?

Ah, dreams :D

It is really amazing how victory can be so close and yet so far at times. And same goes for a devastating loss.

Slow redeployment of one side can be balanced at times by inactivity of another.

The situation in Manila is desperate... I know I've lost Philippines, and with the restricted ground reinforcements I may never be able to take it back.

An interesting and unexpected outcome of having few reinforcements: more converted AS ships will be required for successful warfare. With not as many bases that can be developed, USN will profit from having long-range suppliers that can be defended by AMCs. That way mid-range submarines - R's - and short-range ones - H's - can be useful in the least expected areas... :)
