One other thing you may want to do is get a program called winzip.

It makes the file you send smaller, thus reducing sending/downloading times. Most PBEM games I've been involved with use winzip for the file exchange.

PBEM list

Post by Ron Saueracker »

I'm in, any time, anywhere, any side. I'd like to get some time in against the AI to become familiar with the game first however. Nothing worse than having to suffer through the ramifications of a silly error due to a lack of knowledge of the interface. My email is saueracker@videotron.ca Will this full list be posted somewhere on this site?

I might as well get into the act as well. I'm so rusty I squeak, but diving in might be as good a way as any to blow off the rust :D.

«edit begin»

PREFERRED SIDE : Does not matter

PREFERRED GAME LENGTH : Does not matter

TURNS PER WEEK ON AVERAGE : As many as possible (a minimum level could be set, if need be, otherwise as do as many as you wish)

«edit end»

btw - I went the cheap route and opted for the regular mail ($7), so I will be a few days behind you.

Just doing my job

Post by U2 »

Hi!

Just doing my best keeping this post up there so when vets or newcomers come in here they can find it. This should be a STICKY post. Matrix?

See you in the Pacific commanders!

Count me IN

Post by dgaad »

long time wargamer. bought original copies of pacwar and "the second front" if you can believe that. ;)

Guys : go back and edit your posts and provide more info to make it easier to find opponents. Use cut and paste of the following information.

PREFERRED SIDE : ALLIED (options are ALLIED, IJN, NONE) - note can add comment like I do : but will play IJN also if you can't get an opponent.

PREFERRED GAME LENGTH : CAMPAIGN (options are CAMPAIGN, LONG, MEDIUM, SHORT SCENARIOS)

TURNS PER WEEK ON AVERAGE : 5-7 (OPTIONS ARE : As many as possible, 10-20, 7-9, 5-7, 3-5, 2 or less)

Childhood memories

Post by U2 »

Hi guys

I also still have the originals copies left of those games. I remember bugging my father for 15 minutes before he decided to buy Second Front for me ( I was only 13 ). I still remeber how much I enjoyed playing that game and how I came late for an after lunch class which really made my teacher angry. I blamed it on my uncle Gary Grigsby:)
