Care for seconds? I'm staying for all 7 courses, baby!

There is a KV just north of the middle section, lumbering along, towards its death.:D

Some casualties amongst my scouts and infantry that time, but another T34 needs a paint job, and some duct tape!:p

Die, commie, die!

Ouch ouch ouch. I will personally get medieval on the politruk running the tank factory! Even wild pot-shots from the Panzer crews bite. A PzIII managed to pinball a shell through 150 meters of thick forest into a T-34. kboom again!

Otherwise very cautious movements all over the front. We see StuG's waaay down south now, but what will they accomplish?

The Fritzes continue to shell the southern hill with heavy mortar fire, as well as the area to the north, where a platoon of '34s has been completely wiped out. (due to StuGs and Munte squads) Medals to the corps artillery batallions! They shelled two areas on the front, and three rear areas - casualties everywhere! We can't see them, but we can kill them! :D

I killed a T34E with a PzIII, and a KV with a Stug, not much else. None of my troops will move, due to artillery fire. I lost a PzIII to a KV as well, after it was immobilized by SO paras.

Not much happening. We continue to hose each others lines with artillery fire, but neither seem to be advancing.

Down south, a T-34 was finally up to par, as it toasted a PzIII at one hex range (he MISSED the first time  ) and got a second PzIII as well!

StuG's are all over the place. The goblins are trying to slip through at the far north and far south edges, as well as going head-on in the central-northern area. That's where the most vicious fighting is taking place as well. KV-1s and StuGs at about 5 hexes from each other, with infantry accompanying my tanks. And mortars! Mortar grenades falling everywhere!

Edited due to screw-up in the .zip file, so I replayed the turn.

That area of viscious fighting is really bad now, and its taking place at 2 hexes! I killed a KV with a PzIIIL!!  Suck lead, commie! Another KV is about to die too. I blasted it so much, the crew may bail, or sit and cry in their own urine. Pull your brave lads back, Bel. Lets just be friends and get along?:D

Another KV claimed by a PzIII!

Duels everywhere, another KV crew escaped by the skin of its' teeth while slugging it out with TWO panzers. One down (after three attempts at ONE friggin hex - do they have mud on the lenses or what?! ), the other is unscathed.

More Panzers and cavalry in the north! A KV-1 tried to get to them, but couldn't hit. I will send my reports to Stavka demanding eye-exams on all tank crews immediately! The central part of the northern area is a melee of troops, tanks, mortar shells, cavalry... fighting is rarely at more than 2-3 hexes.

The fascist artillery continue to pound the central ridge. Not to much harm done, but a platoon was caught in a 120mm barrage and lost a few men. Retaliation will come...

Rack up two more KV1E (1C)'s to PZIII's.This is dagger range, with the shooting at one hex, maybe two. There is more room, but the battle has generated so much flame and smoke, coupled with the heavy forest, that everything is point-blank!

I immobilzed another KV with a cavalry charge, and killed a T34E or two. Despite this, I am making almost no forward progress, due to a murderous barrage from the Commie tubes, plus my own mortarmen seem to like to drop every 3rd round short! You are welcome for the arty support, Bel....;)

The confusion at center map defies description, and I am having trouble keeping track of the mayhem! I hope that helps you understand it!

Oh, you thought that barrage was bad? You'll find out that it was only marking fire for the 152s... :D :D

Neither side seems be able to move an inch forward. This is WWI!! We're fighting a war of attrition. The center ridge, occupied by the People's Revolutionary Army has been under constant fire from the enemy artillery, and it's starting to show. Few casualties, but almost all platoons are worn out and need to be replaced. That will not happen! Stand fast and die with honour for the Motherland!

Several cavalry platoons ripped to pieces, both in the far north and south flanks. In the north central part, fighting continues at spit-distance. No mercy is given, or asked for..

In front of the central ridge, several panzers and StuG's have been sighted in the orchard. The final artillery barrage must've hurt the enemy, as we have seen body pieces blown high above the forest canopy. A PzIVg in the orchard took a 152 right in the kisser, and is no more.

Troop morale i shaken, but the battle is still in it's balance. I suspect we will continue until there is noone left to fight.

I had not anticipated that much heavy arty. That layed a hurtin' on me. Ah well, speeds the game up. I killed a T34, and thats about it. There was not much fighting, as I do not have anyone that will fight.:(

Seems like both sides have problems with pacifist troops. The central ridge is an inferno, noone will move and we can't get to the StuG40's down in the orchard. The StuG was capable of knocking out yet another cardboard tractor, however. How ingenious to issue us wooden mock-ups instead of real tanks.

The gallant infantry evened the score to some extent by knocking out two PanzerIII's, but down south yet another StuG claimed yet another T. (who was foolish enough to step into its' LOS)

The Fritzes has resumed shelling our rear area, but the People's Glourious Artillery still stings!

To death!

Alot of Commie infantry died this time! They are everywhere! They did manage to kill a PzIV while the crew was taking a leak. Another T34E died, surrounded and cut-off. Poor commies. Most of my force still won't do anything.

We're bleeding infantry on the ridge! :(

Not much happening this time. Everybody is still hugging ground, but a platoon managed to assault a pzIII a few times, but missed.

Artillery is the king of the battlefield, no doubt.

As some cowardly platoons decided to turn around and head for the rear, they ground shook and several deafening explosions was heard from the mortar park. A few moments later, a giant ball of flame ascended above the forest... one ammo dump less for me.

I agree. The only thing moving on this field is the millions of pounds of earth that is being hurled skyward by artillery! I dicovered a gaggle of Guards infantry trying to get to the fray. Most won't make it!;) They were in an open valley just north of that central ridge line.

Well, your panzers seem to be able to move...

The commanders are desperately trying to get their men to listen to them, to make them come to grips and reassemble the lines. But all to no avail. No man will fight any more. :( Even my Guards are acting like a bunch of sissies in the face of a StuG. C'mon - those are just steel boxes with a personality disorder! Easily wrecked if you only get near them.

More losses from artillery on both sides. The Panzers advancing on the central ridge is starting to pose a real trouble, as they seem invulnerable to infantry assaults. Had those been mine, they'd been dead LONG ago. WHY does that never work for me?

I was ambushed by 2 T34E's on the south road, with 1 Stug wounded, and 1 T34 with a dent in it. A lot more commie infantry died again, but mine are keeping pace! Surrender Bel, or I'm gonna have to make this fight messy!;) Another cavalry charge killed a KV on the north road!

Goblin doesn't need anything. He has this in the bag. :(

German/romanian artillery in combination with "invincible" tanks and the crappiest Soviet armor this side of the Volga makes my forces break at an alarming rate. Some of the People's brave infantry have decided to move in an orderly fashion, the rest checked the option "don't move an inch or die trying" in the Pre-battle tactics fill-out form.

We plan to bombard the area with medals in our respect for the People's soldiers' honorable deaths defending the Motherland. I suspect no-one will be able to attend the ceremony in person.
