Elsewhere transports move out of Pearl. 100 AP/APAs are heading to SF to pick up the troops there. 100 AKAs/LSTs are heading to Manilla to and will help with invasion landings. The 3 marine Divs that start at Pearl are already en route to the Marianas and are half way to Eniwetok.

And a CVE takes one for the team:

Morning Air attack on TF, near Taihoku at 88,63

Now I know why I have no PPs to spend on TF commanders. A shedload of ships are way past their sell-by dates:

albeit a lot of their pilots are in the 20's or below Japanese pilots really stink apart from a few elite sqns and they dont always have the best planes.

Andy,

Don't forget to check land and air units for withdrawals.

Also see if you can redistribute some of the ships at Pearl. You can only see 1000 ships at any one time disbanded in a port.

Sept 18th. Andy's stating that the IJ pilots have experience in the 20's seems reflected in today's air combat:

The 14th USAAF HQ appears to start at Kumning, it's a bit of a bomber magnet for the bombers based at Canton
