Multi Player

This revised and updated turn-based grand strategy game from the team at AGEOD brings players back to World War I, including both the Eastern and Western fronts and over 4 campaigns and 10 scenarios. As either a member of the Central Powers, the Entente or a neutral nation, players will confront the epic gauntlet of military and political challenges that faced the likes of Kitchener, Joffre, Luddendorf, Clemenceau, Czar Nicholas II or Enver Pasha.

I assume that weekends is normally the best for everyone. If we are reasonably close in time zones, then perhaps a weekday evening would work. The day of week or hour does not really matter to me, my work schedule is volatile-weekends is a state of mind :).

For a tentative start, lets say 9:00 am next Saturday. Nefarious and/or Andrew and I should do a test connection-run through the drill prior to the actual game start time.

BTW, I installed the g beta patch-there were a few good things in it for a long term game. The official H patch may still be a week or two away-no sense in waiting for that.

Patch 1.08H will contain a couple of key corrections for trench battles that affect considerably the game balance.

So, considering the time you are going to spend to arrange the game start and all 1914 operations, I think there's no need for you to wait next patch! [;)]

The G patch can be used for a warm up game. I doubt we will reach trench level warfare in one sitting. H can be for the real start.

I installed the H patch this morning. It really gives the game a boost. If you have a quad core CPU you really should install the patch right away.

I would like to test out multiple simultaneous connections before we start the scheduled game. I have not had more than one connection at a time yet-so this is breaking new ground. Even two at once would be a good check. I'm ready for this test connection anytime.

Hattrick and Mus already have my contact info. If anyone else can jump in-post here ad I will send contact info. We can just go through the opening phase and save at the start of the military phase-assuming we have all 4 players-then we can just resume tomorrow. This will only take about 30 minutes. Even if there are just 3 of use, it will be an important test.

OK-great! There are a couple Europeans that would jump in, but the time difference is a very limiting factor. I'm trying to get a couple more Americans right now for a test connect today.

Alrighty then-we have hattrick, Mus and myself. It looks like the earliest we can start is 7PM central time-that's about 5 hours from now. If there is anyone else out there willing to give this a shot, post here.

I may have time to start earlier if anyone is game.

Everyone will need the H patch.

I missed you guys the other night.

I'll keep an eye out in the future. Weekends can sometimes be iffy for me, but I'll try.

How did this game go?
Did it work or did it crash out?

We never could get 4 players at once. However, we did do a test connection with just 3 players. I did not expect the game top play like that, but was interested in if 3 could connect. I could not achieve the connection with player 3. He would appear in the chat box, but his name did not appear in the middle block.

So, 4 player is going to wait a bit-with me anyway. I want to get a few 2 ways game finished-it should be easier to get 4 players at once by that time-and everyone will be more familiar with how to play the game in MP.
