Rifle Corps?

Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: The German-Soviet War 1941-1945 is a turn-based World War II strategy game stretching across the entire Eastern Front. Gamers can engage in an epic campaign, including division-sized battles with realistic and historical terrain, weather, orders of battle, logistics and combat results.

The critically and fan-acclaimed Eastern Front mega-game Gary Grigsby’s War in the East just got bigger and better with Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: Don to the Danube! This expansion to the award-winning War in the East comes with a wide array of later war scenarios ranging from short but intense 6 turn bouts like the Battle for Kharkov (1942) to immense 37-turn engagements taking place across multiple nations like Drama on the Danube (Summer 1944 – Spring 1945).

I am Oleg's opponent, I don't want him to have rifle corps.

LOL ACR see how many people thought your comment was serious? [:D] You need to use more smileys, like this one [:'(]

ACR is my PBEM opponent and actually that game is furthest I got in any WITE campaign, so most of my "what do I do now with this new toy?" questions will be prompted by this game vs ACR. Whataver he replies in those threads is basically opposite of what he really thinks [:D]

How come this is as far as you got? most of your german opponents surrender after winter eviscerates them? It sounds like it's going to be like witp...when the japs lose the KB your lesser opponents throw in the towel. The whole fun of the games is playing it out. Of course with witp the japanese drubbing takes a lot longer with 1 day turns. hehe.

Only reason my last game ended was a bug that killed a lot of ara's troops. I was so bummed but hopefully our next game will last a little longer. ;)

Nice try at a double bluff.

back to the initial question :

Yes i used them, the more, the better.

Stragegy is using them "en masse" to bleed germans. Circular attacks by 3x3 corps, even unsuccesfull if there is parity in squad losses to both sides are russian pleasure.

Remember Zukhov offensives (even the bad ones like Rjev), they were bleeding germany.

About the Guards Armies....

I believe an Army HQ that has a good enough W/L difference can get the Guards label; whether this gives a morale bonus, I dunno.
