I am not really familiar with Dababes well enough to do the conversion sorry

I respect greatly what the babes team are doing and am more than happy to take data and ship updates (and have) but I disagree with the extra complexity and management required on an LCU front so I have not played it long enough to be comfortable doing the conversion

Andy,

I have to disagree strongly here.

The land model in the game has always seemed like the bastard step child getting third rate priority in everything.

Its apparent and obvious to anyone with considerable playing time that in regards to level of detail and complexity the Air model comes first, the Naval model comes second and the Land model has always been a very distant third.

After all, we track the skills of individual pilots, but only have overall crew skill ratings for ships. An equivalent level of modeling for the Naval model would have us tracking the skills of individual gun crews!

The land model is even worse, we can't even get in game data on the charactistics of indivisual devices, we have to leave the game and open an editor to see the quantified values assigned to individual devices. I would LOVE to be able to click on a Stuart tank device and get a detailed interface of it's stats the same way I can for individual plane models.

Any and all increases in detail and complexity for the Land model would be welcome additions.
Hans

Understand what you are saying but for me personally the game is already right at the cusp of micromanagement as the allies never mind Japan

So for me personally I don't want to have to think about what base force or engineer unit goes where.

Others disagree and want more micromanagement but for me as a player it's a level of detail to far

I want three types of engineer unit

Construction
Balanced base force
And aviation units

Babes adds huge depth but it creates for me persoanally another level of micromanagement. That I personally don't want in the grand campaign

I love it in the smaller map scenes so I play the babes guard scenario and love it but not that level of micro in the grand campaign

As I said that's my personal preference as a player and that's why I don't play babes I respect what they have done and is it more realistic. Absolutely but I am. A game player not a simulator if that makes sense

If u don't play with japan, how u made tricks with it in order to make the Ironman ? [:'(][:'(][:'(] (just kidding)

BTW: If u know furashit fleet website, why don't u change the AMCs rainding the allied sea lanes with something like Sagami Class?

For some reason the AI loves AMC's its one of the few classes the AI uses well so maximising them is a good thing.

The AI stillloves dinky little 2 - 4 ship amphib and transport TF's so creating AMC's and Q Ships that are good transports is a good way of beefing up the AI and giving it some protection from marauding SCTF's

A single high XP Q Ship (especially my overpowered Q ships with concealed LL's and good guns) can ruin even a CL led SCTF and a lucky Torpedo strike can cause mayhem.

So Q Ships, Desroyers and AMC's are the way to go to make the AI that little bit tougher in SC

Basically the AI will create to many TF's for 1 escort and 2 - 4 transport or amphibs its part of the routine that I cannot change so to make 1 - 2 of those transports actually AMC's or Q Ships can cause some mayhem...

ps v3 may have went to far and piss people off there are a couple of potentially nasty spoiling attacks....

Has anyone played the Allied Version Revenge of the Dorniers ??

Could use some feedback on that one as I may try and do a nasty version of that as well using some of the tricks I worked out for the Japanese one
